In film, sound is as important as the images. Did you know that sounds like rain, fire, or footsteps are often created using everyday objects? This workshop introduces students to the world of sound design and shows how sound brings stories to life in movies.
Pedagogical Objectives:
- Produce Sound Effects: Use everyday items to create realistic sounds and sync them with a film clip.
- Rewrite and Recreate: Invent new stories and dialogue for a one-minute film scene.
- Record Your Voice: Have fun dubbing voices and seeing how sound transforms storytelling.

In this 6-hour workshop, students will use improvisation to invent a shared story, then work in small groups to bring it to life through storyboarding, filming, and editing. Each group will create their own version of the story, exploring different cinematic genres like action, comedy, drama, etc.
